Paul worked the night shift, so he was able to come with us to the Children's museum one afternoon. The kids loved having another adult around to show off all the cool things to do there.
Solace, the world's best baby. Really, truly, he could not be more perfect. So calm and sweet and easy. Two minute snuggles with mom, and he falls asleep in his stroller.
After we played for a while, we ate dinner and Paul left for work. The kids and I stayed and went to story time.
After a fun story time, we found out that every Thursday, they give one free book to each child. What? Like really good books. Hard covers for the big boys, and board book for Lullaby and Solace. It's ridiculous. If you go to the Children's Museum in Houston, on Thursdays, go to the story times at 5, 6 or 7pm to get your free book. Here are the books they chose from that day (we have since gone again for 4 more free books, yes please!).
Please note that although Hawken picked the book called "Grumpy Grandpa" he was super confused about it when we read it. He doesn't have any grumpy grandparents, and didn't know why the grandpa in the book was acting that way. :)

Love the free book idea! You'll have to make a list of your favorites. I seriously have a list of ideas I get from your blog.
Yes I have never seen any of their Grampas grumpy!
That is so awesome, about the free books and the cool museum. And a cool mom who takes them all the time!
WOW! That museum just gets better and better. Who would of thought - story time?
