We went on a trip to see the new lava, cinder cones, and down to Pohoiki to see the new black sand beach. We met up with some church friends and ate fresh doughnuts and other snacks and fished and played in the black sand. So much fun.
There was also a fishing competition, and the kids were focused on getting the smallest fish, so they hunted in the warm ponds until they caught one. They won $5 each. So fun!
