Barton Creek

After realizing that the Onion Creek (in McKinney Falls) was overflowing, we tried out Barton Creek to see if there was any chance of swimming there. But it was just as bad. The pool was closed, so we went downstream and splashed in the shallows.

Paul floated downstream to see if it would be possible with the kids, and it was. It looks a lot scarier than it really was. Of course though, he yelled and shouted to prank other people who were watching at first. Stinker.

Then he floated down with each of the kids, one by one. They loved it. Then after floating a while, he would swim with them to the side and walk back to where I was with the other kids.

Then we played at the amazing playground there at Zilker Park for a while. We've been there enough times that we know some fun spots now. Still mostly a bust for swimming though…
