Cookie Cutters

For some reason, my hair and the kids hair grows ridiculously fast. I think mine is mostly the prenatals... I feel like I am trimming the boys hair every other week though, and I don't really know what I am doing.  Hawken's was getting into his eyes more and more and Paul threatened to shave it off! Yikes! Steph told me she was going to take Mason to get his hair cut soon, so I invited us to tag along. :) They go to a place called "Cookie Cutters" and it was the BEST experience. There is a little playset with slide inside for the kids who are waiting.

Each station has a car, or truck or airplane ride-on for the kids to choose and sit in.  Lulli tried out the police car.

There is a TV in front of each station and also iPads for the kids to play with if they need to look down. Really.  Matix and Mason went first. Mason was a pro and got through his cut really fast. Most of his little curls got cut off, but they are already growing back in.  Steph was a little worried.

Lullaby was SO interested in what was happening. She watched Mason the whole time.

Matix was a bit more reserved and wanted to know what she was doing as it was happening. The stylist knew all the characters on the TV and got Matix distracted with the show by asking him questions.  Genius I tell you.

After he was done he got a lollipop and a balloon. Best day ever. And oh so handsome!

Lullaby then also wanted a balloon and had a blast with it. She was swinging it around and screaming and giggling. So funny.

Hawken was last and the most dramatic of cuts. I told her I wanted it pretty short, thinking still that she would just use the scissors, but she pulled out the electric trimmer and went to town. It was wild. I watched huge chunks of his hair fall to the ground... Wow.

She styled it afterward and to get his attention she was flirting with him, which he loved.  Can you tell?

Matix's cut was just an evening out and trimming up. Hopefully I will be able to keep it up as long as it grows evenly all over his head.  Hawken's cut was crazy. I was kind of getting emotional (I'll blame the hormones) watching ALL his hair fall to the floor. But I really think he looks adorable and he loves it too. Check out their before and afters... After all that fun, we went to Chick Fil A for lunch. My new favorite fast food place for the kiddies.

If you're ever in Utah and find your kid in need of a haircut, I HIGHLY recommend Cookie Cutters. They do great work and the kids have fun. I loved it.
