At Discovery Green, they had a free event, so we went. They marketed it as a sandcastle building thing, so that's why we went. It turned out to be only ONE sand castle creation... Hmm...
There was lots of other fun stuff to do though. Free popcorn and snow cones, free bounce houses, and a really fun playground. It turned out to be fun, even though it wasn't at all what we thought it would be. And, hooray for Saturdays that DADDY can spend with us!
On the way out of the park we walked past a homeless man, and without hesitating, Hawken (and then all the other kids) asked if he was hungry and if he wanted to eat his snow cone. The man said yes (must have actually been very hungry to want left over snow cones) and thanked him. We have such giving and loving kids.

You do have sweet, thoughtful kids. I love the colorful climbing wall. Looks like a great day.
Lullaby looks so OLD and sophisticated in that early picture; and then looks like a baby again later. She's right at the tipping point!
