On the farm

Grandpa Louie got some piglets while we were there. There was much debate over what to name them. My kids assumed that should be their job, but I think eventually my mom named them.  They are very sweet and tame and loved being sprayed with water. They run and jump through the stream from the hose.

Lots of tree climbing. LOTS. They even found the trees where Louie and Hank had built a fort when they were kids. All that remains is a single 2x4 stuck between two trees.  Hawken is standing on it in the last tree picture.

We ran into Uncle Hank on the farm and he spoiled the kids with treats! Plus then he caught some chickens for the kids to hold.

Picking cherries? Yes please!

Matix holding Twisty. This is the most tame chicken you will ever meet.  She lays her legs and feet back when you hold her. No reservations.

P.S. The piggies' names are Brat and Wurst, and Louie named them, and he is trying very hard not to get too attached to them! :)
