Christmas 2018

Our Christmas morning started EARLY, the kids just couldn't wait to go upstairs. They opened their stockings and gave the pets their presents first. Each of the kids got morning slippers, which they loved, and lots of other little goodies.

Each of the kids drew a name of another kid to buy a present for. It was so fun to see the reactions, and the real gratitude.

Paul and I got lots of little goodies from the kids too. They made us scarves at their Option's Day program.

We got lots of games this Christmas, which is great. We do love games in our family!

Paul and the kids bought me some new FUN shoes, from my favorite brand, Irregular Choice. I llove them so much!

Paul had to go on a scavenger hunt all over the house to find his gifts. He had 7 clues that Matix wrote and all the kids hid all over the place. Finally he found his goodies, a few storage boxes for his tools, some new tools he had been wanting, and some new fuzzy socks and a sleeping mask. So fun!

The dog and cats got lots of treats, of course.

Laurel sent out the most thoughtful gift ever. It is a print of what the night sky looked like the day that Paul and I got married. It reads "Forever Began, May 27th, 2006", we both got teary-eyed opening it. Thank you Laurel.

The kids got lots of gifts, and cards from their grandparents. It's fun having so many readers now, the cards are much more meaningful!

Matix made love notes for everyone, and each one had an act of service he could do for the person. I got a massage, Paul got a bowl of cereal, the kids each got a promise to do one of their chores. It was so sweet.

The kids got to playing right away with all the new toys and games. They really loved everything they received. Thank you to everyone from far away who sent them love and cards and gifts.

Paul made his famous cinnamon rolls and they were better than ever.  Yum!

By lunch time, everyone was exhausted, including the pets. It was a happy Christmas for everyone.

Here's a video of the morning. Merry Christmas 2018!
