The flooring was done with the exception of a small strip behind the front door leading to the school room, and a 3 x 5 section in the opposite corner, and the upstairs bathroom. Our house is separated in two areas, the bedrooms are all separate from this main house area. So this man house area is what we were focused on first. The grout wasn't done, but it was ready enough for the countertops and to use minimally.
Counters came! They set up shop in the driveway and made all the cuts right on site. It was super fun to watch!
The counters that we picked are SO sparkly. I love them. LOVE THEM.
And the final before and after...
Of course, the trim and kick boards and things like that weren't finished (and still aren't), but the majority of the BIG stuff was DONE at this point and we are so happy with the results!

Back to the sixties! It looks almost like our kitchen in the 1960's that my dad built. White sparkly counters and turquoise walls. Our appliances were turquoise too though!
So fun!
