Matix went trick or treating for the first time today! Hooray hooray!

On campus they set up a costume parade/trick or treating time for the kids. It seemed like everyone had a great time. Matix is a monkey this year and Grandma Stacy made him this costume! Thanks Stacy, everyone loved it! Is he the CUTEST?! Here we are getting ready to go.
Saying hello to some friends. This is Chance, he is a Lion.
Here are a few girls from church who were princesses today.
Posing for a quick picture with UPS driver Shane. :)
Jessie with monkey Matix and Amber with fairy princess Lily.
Paul took some time from studying to go with (what a good Daddy!).
Here is a short video too... Matix sort of got the idea.
We didn't stay for the whole parade. It was hot and Matix already had a few pieces of candy and some cookies.
The last stop we went to gave him this HUGE pixie stick. It is as tall as he is. :) He doesn't really know what it is, but he was excited to get it!
We let him have a sucker after we stripped him down on our way back to the stroller.
We LOVE Trick or Treating! More festivities tomorrow too!

He is a cute monkey! What a great littl costume. So, am I the only lame mom that doesn't have real costumes for her kids? Oh well!
Kudos to Stacy on a cute monkey costume!
We go trick-or-treating today with the whole clan including Leisl, Ryelle, Kyra, Skylar, Hunter, Chloe, Bradley, and Alexandra, and all their parents and grandparents of course. Wish you were here for Matix's second Halloween and first real experience at trick-or-treating.
I remember when I was a little girl and we had to do a little dance or motion to go with your costume before you got your treat. At some houses you even had to come into the person's living room to "perform!" Can't do that nowadays. We also went alone, just kids. Most of us carried a brown paper grocery bag or a pillow case for our candy. And we usually ran home halfway through and dumped it out to make room for more. My Mom always wanted to know exactly where we were going so I was allowed to go around our block and around each city block that touched our block, a total of 9 city blocks. Some of the naughty kids even switched costumes and went around again. In our town you could go to any house that had their lights on, so it lasted from dusk until there were no more lights on, sometimes 'til midnight! Fun!
What a cute little monkey! Very impressive costume.
He is sooo stinkin cute! Aidan and Baylee love watching the videos of him. I recognize that cute blue camo shirt by the way! lol
