Paul has been on a gardening kick lately. His latest venture was this cherry tree. :) He got it for $5 EC ($1.87 US dollars). He also got some seeds for a small vegetable garden, but because we are trying to plant by the moon (the way the Dominicans do), we have to wait a bit.
I know the cherry tree is small and it will probably not bear fruit while we are on the island, but Matix had a great time helping dig the hole and pat the dirt back in around the edges with Paul. Hopefully some future family who lives here will enjoy the fruit from it. Matix loves his new job now too... watering the tree. So fun (who would have thought?) :)
