helmet
Matix got a helmet to go along with his new big kid bike. He was the one who actually requested it, and since we want him to wear one when he is bigger, we thought, might as well start now and get him in the habit.
Hawken wears Phil's old helmet sometimes, but more for dress up and pretend to be Matix or daddy purposes. :)
Also, the sizes for helmets are by ages. When we bought Matix his helmet, I tried 5 and up, since that was seemingly the smallest size. Didn't fit. 6 and up, nope. 7 and up, nope. Finally we found this size 8 and up helmet for our 4 year old (big-headed) boy, and that fit perfectly. Who knew he had such a large head?

He must be a Berg. They are known for their large heads.
That last paragraph made me laugh!! We have the same problem around here--Jacob's head (only his head, not the rest of him) is in the 98th percentile, so it is so hard to find hats to fit him and even hard sometimes to get his shirts on and off.
You were always off the charts for head size too! So he gets it from both sides of the family! Must be all those brains!
