The party was at a park and the perfect setting for a billion four year olds to run and eat and play and have a great day. I got a few pics of the spread before it was devoured. Very few people had actually rsvp-ed, so I had no idea how much food to get. It was enough for everyone, but just barely.
Tracy did the cakes and cupcakes for all the guests. So cute, right? Bumblebee for Matix and Optimus Prime for Graham.
Matix and Graham, our big four year olds!!
Matix was so excited to see Dries there. He's his best friend. They always end up wrestling, but they both are okay with that, so we are too. :)
Tons of friends and family to celebrate with. What a lucky boy.
Fun on the playground.
Blowing out the candles was, as is to be expected, done by Hawken, again. Hawken apparently loves this part about birthdays.
Lullaby walked everyone around the party. She is still very nervous about doing anything more than a few shaky steps alone.
We attempted a group picture with the kids who were still there (this was toward the end of the party, and a few kids had already left). It was impossible. They were all way too silly to be still for a picture.
Matix even got a few gifts from his friends, which he was very thankful for. We even wrote on the invitation, "no presents needed", because we didn't want people to feel obligated to buy two presents - one for each boy... Anyway, thank you to those who did anyway, you were so sweet. When we got home, there was a card from great-grandma Pauline and a package from auntie Robin and uncle John. Matix (and Hawken - Matix is very good about sharing) loved everything. Thank you!
