trip to Wisconsin

On Thursday, the kids and I flew to Wisconsin to surprise my gramma Evie for her 85th birthday. She had no idea we were coming, and this trip I didn't tell the kids we were going until the day before.  It made the countdown process much easier. They were very excited and did fairly well on the plane.  Lullaby was fussy, but the boys made a friend with the lady sitting behind us and sat with her most of the flight.

The cold weather in Wisconsin was not my favorite part of the trip, but grandma Kim was up for playing with the boys who just have to play outside, even when it's freezing.

The next day, my cousin Brody came with his girlfriend Mya and her daughter Clementine. Clementine is a few months older than Matix and she quickly became part of the pack.

The world's most serious game of Bogle. My mom is the best word game player of all time... or at least she was. Mya beat her. What?!

Alexandra came over to play too and we even got our own private concert.  Matix and Hawk sang "I Am a Child of God" and Alexandra sang "this is the best show ever" an original song composed on the spot, in case you were wondering. :)

We had a lot of fun! And the Wisconsin-Girl in you came out eventually and you played outside quite a bit of the time too. I loved having a houseful of kids. Your presence made Mom's birthday party so wonderful for her (and us.)
