McKinney Falls - Lower Falls

The hike to the Lower Falls was a bit longer than the hike to the Upper Falls at McKinney Falls, but SO beautiful. We had the whole place to ourselves for the first couple hours. There were a couple of very small waterfalls and lots of nice swimming water, and beaches for snuggling.

Matix caught a frog and was so pleased with himself. We thought it was dead because it didn't move very much, until he poked it in the eye and it blinked... Surprise!

Solace and Hawken tried to drink the water from one of the areas where it just dripped down.

Paul caught one of many dragonflies. They were landing on us a TON this trip. It's so fun to see them up close.
