McKinney Falls - Upper Falls

Since we stayed at McKinney Falls, our first adventure was to see the Upper Falls, like last time. It was even prettier in the bright morning light.  A lot less water in the falls though, it hadn't been raining like the first time we went.

We went there early in the morning, so only Hawken and Paul were in their trunks, and we left the floaties... I figured we would just be hiking around, but the water was LOVELY. So even Lullaby and Matix got in, without suits. Well, birthday suits... Ha ha ha!

While we were hiking around we found this cool graffiti inside of one of the holes in the rocks by the waterfall, it was really cool and the kids thought it was awesome too. I think it was done with permanent marker.

Solace had a blast wandering around and exploring all the new places we went and enjoying the fine rock cuisine that Austin had to offer.

What a beautiful area! It must be similar geology to southeastern MN with all the caves and rock formations.
