advent day 10

Our advent on the 10th was changed at the last minute. My mom had seen these cute ice cream snowmen on Pinterest and brought the supplies to make them if we had time. After we got home from the aquarium, the boys stayed up to do this activity with Grandma before she left.

They were really into this activity, putting on the tiny eyes and buttons, and working fast so their snowmen wouldn't melt.  Grandma had to explain what a snowman was (they have never seen a real one) and what scarves are (they have never seen those or worn one ever).  I giggled about that, because in January we are going to UTAH and they will be in shock.

Of course the best part of this activity is that they got to EAT their project. YUM!

Goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa! It was the smoothest goodbye ever, which was completely because they were still busy eating ice cream! :) We had so much fun with my mom and Louie here. It was a very quick visit, but I know Hawken especially appreciated having his grandparents at his birthday party. Thanks for coming and cooking for us and entertaining us and spoiling our kids. We love you!

P.S. That whole snowman project only lasted about 5 minutes tops!
