Matix's 5th birthday party!

Matix's birthday party this year was super hero themed. It was really easy to decorate for it, since we already had several super heroes, and we borrowed some big ones from one of Matix's friends (Thanks Luke!).  We had invisibility serum (water) and pizza and cake pop flops and lots of other little treats.

Before anyone showed up, Matix got to open a few gifts. He had so many, it was better to space them all out. Lullaby and Hawken got some cards and gifties too so they didn't feel left out. Thanks everyone!

Red, yellow and blue balloons were everywhere. The kids wore their capes and any other hero garb they had. It was so fun.  Here's a picture of most of the little heroes! So fun!

Upstairs I had set out blank felt masks, stickers, glitter, etc. for the kids to make masks if they wanted to. Some kids made them, others had their own.  After a while of them playing outside, I colored bad guy faces on the balloons with a sharpie and told the kids that there were bad guys in our house and we needed to lock them in "jail". I set up a chair to block in a little area, and that was jail. The kids had one minute to collect all the bad guys, and then they could each pick a prize. They liked the game enough that we did it twice.

Matix was totally spoiled this year by his friends and family. Thank you to everyone for sending him gifts, coming to his party and telling him happy birthday! He is so grateful.

At the end of the party, his cousin Gavin came, just in time to build his new Lego truck from Grandma Stacy. It was a good day!

And of course, a video of the day. :)
