We went on a nature hike around our neighborhood on a boring rainy day. The kids were cooped up inside all day, and the minute it stopped raining, we HAD to go out. It wasn't a long walk, but the kids had little papers with 25 nature things to find. We didn't find them all, but we did find a lot, and the kids really loved it. When we got home, we ate up our nice warm dinners and then curled up on the couch to watch a movie until Daddy got home. It turned out to be a nice day after all.
Paul, by the way, is in his gynecology rotation now, and LOVING it. His schedule is wonderful, and although I'm sure there are more fun things to look at all day, he seems to be enjoying the people he works with and is learning tons. He has been home every night this month by bed time for the kids and has been home for dinner several of the days as well. I almost had forgotten what that was like! :) We brought the people Paul works with some cookies one day too, we love them for letting us have our favorite guy back!

What a nice schedule!! (While it lasts!)
Jessie, you always come up with such good ideas to make the day fun. Also, the cookies to Paul's work people can really improve attitudes. Good job!
