proud

I think that being proud of children helps them in so many ways. It builds confidence. When they create something, anything, and they put effort into it, I make sure to see them. Not just glance up from the laundry, or the millions of messes, but really SEE. 

I'll take their picture, or put it on the refrigerator, I'll ask questions about it, and tell them I'm proud. Because I am. I am proud of the little people they are turning into. I am proud of their hard work.  Messes can wait, and they often do, but opportunities to show your kids you love them will pass by if you're not paying attention.
