We tried to go to Bellos Beach with our friends and Paul's parents, but it was closed. Maybe too many jellyfish? We went on down the road to a very large, and completely empty beach, Waimanalo Beach. It was so beautiful. The water was cold, and it was windy that day, so we mostly played on the shore. Plus there were signs for Man-of-War jellyfish, and we didn't really feel like being stung.
This girl is too beautiful, and has such a big personality. She cannot be contained.
The grownups dug a huge pit for the kids to play in, and try to fill with water.
I attempted to make a mermaid for Lullaby, and Paul built a boat like Roosie had taught us so long ago. (Emma was mad that she didn't know how to make one)
And just before leaving, we saw a few little baby jellyfish washing up on the shore. I told the kids not to touch them, but Lullaby just had to try it. She got stung. The lifeguard gave us some vinegar spray to neutralize it, which helped after a few minutes of screaming pain. Poor thing. But I bet she'll never touch one again.

That was a fun beach even though we didn't get in the water. Poor Lullaby, she sure suffered.
