family home evening

We got a package from Grandma Kim! It was filled with lots of fun things. Tons of clothes for Lullaby,  some jammies for Hawk and a sweatshirt for Matix (all left overs from Bradley and Alexandra - Thanks!)

She also sent a fun activity for us to do during family home evening. She sent out clear plastic gloves, popcorn, candy corn and spider rings. She also sent the new Monsters University movie.
(Note that Lullaby is wearing underpants in this picture^, she is NOT potty trained. She has good days around the house that she will not wear a diaper all day, and have no accidents, even through naps. But there are other days that she is no where near close to being potty trained and poops on the floor. Lovely.)

The kids loved making the popcorn hands, and after we made them, we all sat down in the living room to watch the new movie and enjoy the snack. What a fun evening!
Our family home evenings are not always on Mondays anymore. We usually have them once a week, but we have them on a day Paul is here to join in with us. I have done it a few times without him and the kids are SUPER annoyed with me leaving daddy out, so we changed the way we do it now, and he is always included.  I like it that way better anyway. :)

I'm sure the idea of family home evening is to have the FAMILY AT HOME TOGETHER! So your way is more meaningful.

What fun - and any day will do as long as you are all together.
