Two Saturdays ago, Paul and I took a Tai Chi/Pilates class together. It was fun to be together, even if it was while we were working out. The class wasn't my favorite. There was a lot of fluff in between the actual exercise, but Paul said it was good for him and his abs hurt the next day. After the class, we took the kids to the pool.
Matix swam underwater most of the time we were there. And although he looks like he's drowning in this picture, I promise he's not. He wanted a picture to see if he was really all the way under water.
After naps we went to the beach. Our drive down to Surfside isn't too far, but makes us want to live closer to a beach. It's just a tiny bit too long. The kids are pretty uncomfortable with all the boards packed in and around them. Solace especially.
There was a big storm, which is what we chase because the waves are bigger and faster. But this time, it also turned the water black and filled it with thick seaweed. It was near impossible to surf. So the kids got completely filthy, and we made sand castles, sand turtles, sand sharks, the works. It was a good evening, despite the very little surf time we got.

Too dirty for me. You kids loved adding seaweed and dead things to your sand castles, though.
I'm always so envious of your trips to the beach. I really miss going with you guys. Hopefully it won't be too cold in October to go.
