pumpkins!

The kids picked out their pumpkins this year a couple days before Halloween, in fact it may have been the night before. Pumpkins rot really fast here, so you can only have them carved for a day or two before Halloween.

We sat in the only small area of our garage that isn't covered in boxes and everyone worked together to get them done. Paul and I were mostly in carve of hollowing out. The kids designed their pumpkins on paper and then we carved them to match.

Matix's had flames inside the triangle eyes which looked really cool, but not so great in the picture. Oh well.

Hawken's had MAD eyebrows. Yikes!

Lullaby loved drawing her face and seeing it then on the pumpkin. So exciting!

Lullaby told us what to put on Solace's pumpkin. Do we did.

Hawken had an extra pumpkin from school, so I carved it to look like Sakina, since the kids were insistent that she would want a pumpkin. So funny.

That was a fun night, except for the slimey stuff. The kids really did a good job! :)

Pumpkin carving was always a big thing in our family when you were growing up! Love the doggy and the mad eyebrows!
